It’s safe to say Ne-Yo knows more than a thing or two about R&B. The singer/songwriter/producer/dancer/actor has penned and performed some of the genre’s biggest songs of the past 20 years. So when he signed Zae France to his Def Jam imprint Compound Entertainment, he announced to the world that Zae is due to be a powerhouse in R&B.
Zae France grew up in North Carolina where he was raised on a healthy dose of gospel (his mother was in a gospel group herself while he was growing up), Al Greene, Tank, Eric Bellinger, and Usher. Not content to follow any single genre too closely, he’s worked to develop his own sound, and it’s paying off.
In 2022, he was featured in the music video for Ne-Yo’s “Layin Low” and was even brought on tour in the UK with the R&B legend. When he’s working the crowd, Zae France relies on his custom-molded UE LIVE IEMs to deliver detailed personal monitor mixes with total comfort and remarkable passive noise cancellation.
2023 has already been a big year for Zae France. In February, he released his debut single with Compound Entertainment, “What it Do,” which has been well-received by his hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners. With millions of streams already under his belt, we can’t wait to see what’s next for Zae.
“With the UE LIVE I feel way more in tune with my whole performance. I can hear everything I need to hear.” - Zae France
