The 2.5mm Balanced cable is not like your common audio cables. What makes it stand out is that the balance cable has 3 connectors and 3 conductors. one of these wires wraps around the other two, shielding the active wires from electrical interference. What this does is that it gets rid of outside “noise”.
The Balanced cable is commonly used with audio applications/equipment with a 2.5mm jack. This type of cable is used mostly by audiophiles. Commonly mistaken for our IPX 3.5mm cable. This is not for use in standard IEM systems and equipment with 3.5mm connections.
